When you are instructed to upgrade a massive metal monster that already required a new generation of tank to handle, what do you do? You make it bigger and louder. The IS-2 is exactly that, designed as a superior replacement for the KV series and more well-designed than its predecessor. Despite its size, it had thick frontal armor and a massive 122mm gun, comparable in weight to the German Panther. The IS-2 was meant to be a breakthrough tank, so it was equipped with a weapon suitable for such a task, allowing it to break through the German lines and into the heart of Germany. The box contains plastic components to build the IS-2 heavy tank, a detailed construction booklet, full-color waterslide decals, an 8-man infantry squad that can be used as tank riders or normal infantry, a stat card with essential tank info, and a set of damage markers for realistic effects. The product is unassembled and unpainted, and glue and paints are not included.

The IS-2 in Bolt Action costs 256pts (inexperienced), 320pts (Regular), 384pts (Veteran) and includes 1 turret-mounted heavy anti-tank gun with co-axial MMG, 1 turret-mounted rear-facing MMG, and 1 forward-facing hull-mounted MMG. It has a damage value of 10+ (Heavy Tank) and special rules including HE Slow Load.

Recreate World War II combat using model troops, tanks, and rules from Bolt Action. Each side will require painted model troops representing the soldiers, guns, and tanks of their chosen armies. Tabletop encounters will follow twelve battle scenarios defining force deployment and victory conditions. Players will have the opportunity to pit their wits against each other in enacting a small part of one of the greatest conflicts in history—World War II.
