The Opel Blitz came in two variants: the type S 2 wheel drive and the type a, also known as "allrad," which had a 4x4 chassis that allowed it to handle various conditions. This made it an ideal platform for conversions such as the radio truck, kft. 385 tank wagon, and a variety of anti-aircraft weapon platforms. One of the most notable adaptations of the Opel Blitz was the Opel Maultier "Mule" Half-track, introduced in 1941 to address the challenging conditions of the Eastern front during World War II.

The Warlord Games plastic kit offers detailed models of both the standard Opel Blitz truck and the maultier variant, along with data cards and vehicle damage markers to enhance the gaming experience. Players can recreate World War II battles on the tabletop using dice, model troops, tanks, and the rules of Bolt Action. Each side must have painted model troops representing soldiers, guns, and tanks, and battles are fought according to twelve defined scenarios that determine deployment and victory conditions.
