Soviet KV1/2 Heavy Tank 1:56 WWII Model Kit

The KV-1 heavy tank, weighing in at 45 tons, was one of Russia's first heavy tanks used in World War II. It was known for its near impregnability, with German anti-tank weaponry of the time struggling to penetrate its armor. Despite this, the KV-1 was vulnerable to superior German tactics due to its lack of training and maneuverability. The sheer size of the KV-1 allowed it to crush anything beneath its giant treads, causing enemy firing lines and encampments to be abandoned at the mere sight of it. Equipped with a 76.2mm cannon, the KV-1 was unstoppable in 1941, setting the standard for heavy tanks with its nearly indestructible nature and ability to strike fear into its enemies.

While the KV-1 fell out of favor in the following years, it served as the basis for the next generation of heavy tanks. The KV-2, developed in conjunction with the KV-1, was designed for close infantry support and bunker busting. With even heavier armor and a towering height of 12 feet, the KV-2 was armed with a massive 152mm howitzer, capable of striking fear into any enemy within a range of 140 km (87 miles).

The KV1/2 plastic box contains all the components necessary to create a tank body and both turret variants, along with a construction booklet, water slide decals, a squad of 8 infantry, and blast, smoke, and fire markers. The accompanying stat card provides all the information needed for Bolt Action battles, where the KV-1 heavy tank can be used to distract opponents or lead assaults supported by tank riders. The KV-2 self-propelled artillery gun, on the other hand, is capable of delivering devastating hits to the enemy.

Bolt Action allows players to recreate World War II combat on the tabletop, using dice, model troops, tanks, and rules constructed by Bolt Action against one or more opponents. Each side must have painted model troops representing their chosen armies, and battles take place according to twelve defined scenarios. The game allows players to pit their wits against each other as they reenact a small part of one of the greatest conflicts in history.

Building, painting, and playing with the models are an integral part of the fun, allowing players to bring the game to life and immerse themselves in the World War II experience.
