The most powerful army in the world at the start of World War II was the French army. Equipped with excellent tanks and artillery, the infantry divisions were numerous and confident in their ability to fight off the Germans as they had done twenty-two years before. However, this time, the French infantry found themselves facing German armored units that had outmaneuvered them as the Blitzkrieg swept across Europe. Despite the tactical advances of the Germans, many French soldiers bravely fought to defend their honor and regiments.

The French put up a strong resistance against the German invaders at battles such as Hannut, Arras, Boulogne, and Saumur. Some Frenchmen went on to fight against the Allies with Vichy France, while others joined the Allied invasion in 1944 to reclaim their homeland.

This versatile plastic boxed set allows you to assemble the miniatures as regular French Army infantry, fortress troops, chasseurs à pied, engineers, or colonial troops (Algerian, Moroccan, or Tunisian). The box contains 30 multi-pose plastic infantry with plastic bases and a full-color waterslide decal sheet.

Recreate World War II combat on a tabletop using dice, model troops, tanks, and the rules created by bolt action against one or more opponents. Each opposing side will require painted model troops representing the soldiers, guns, and tanks of the chosen armies.

Tabletop encounters take place according to twelve closely defined battle scenarios that explain deployment of forces and how victory is achieved. Players can pit their wits against each other as they enact just one small part of one of the greatest conflicts in history—World War II.
