Warlord Games Easy Eight Sherman Tank Model - Highly Detailed 28mm Plastic Scale Model for Table-top Wargaming

The medium tank initially designated as the M4A3(76)W HVSS was eventually shortened to M4A3E8, with the "E8" denoting the HVSS suspension. It was later nicknamed the "Easy Eight" by US soldiers who fought alongside this tank. The Easy Eight featured several improvements over earlier M4 Sherman designs, such as the Horizontal Volute Suspension System (HVSS) and wider tracks, which improved its ground performance. Additionally, it had a welded hull instead of cast, providing better protection, and was equipped with a 76mm M1A2 main gun, making it comparable to German 75mm guns.

The first Easy Eights were introduced in December 1944, just in time to participate in the Battle of the Bulge. While the potency of its main gun posed a threat to Axis medium tanks, it still required targeting the rear armor on heavier German vehicles. Over 2,500 Easy Eights were produced during World War II, and the design was successful enough to see action in the Korean War and even into the Vietnam conflict.

The product includes one plastic "Easy Eight" medium tank, a Bolt Action stat card, Bolt Action Order Dice, an assembly guide, a full-color waterslide decal sheet for US and Canadian vehicles, and vehicle damage markers. This vehicle can also be used in games of Achtung Panzer!, a game of close-quarters tank-on-tank combat, with rules found in the Achtung Panzer! rulebook.
